4Monks Consulting is an end-to-end digital studio with teams in Bangalore and California. For years we have designed and built websites, apps, and campaigns for brands, integrating our work with the soul of their operations rather than bolting on tools from the outside.
We kept hitting the same wall. The content backends we could choose from were either rented platforms that metered our clients and held their data, or code-first tools that editors could not love. None of them were ready for the AI-accelerated way we had started to build.
So we built Tangen: a code-first, type-safe headless CMS that developers own and editors enjoy, with AI connected through MCP and RAG from the start. It is the platform we use ourselves, now open for you to build on.
Why we called it Tangen.
In geometry, a tangent is the line that meets a curve at a single point and, for that moment, travels in exactly the same direction. That image stuck with us. Tangen is the point where things that usually pull apart line up and move together: developers and the people they build for, humans and the agents working beside them, content and the code that serves it.
The mark is a tent, a small shelter with one clean peak. It is where a commune of artists and technologists gathers, and it is that meeting point drawn as a single line.
